A cheap and cheerful pudding, loved by children and adults alike. This also works on the barbecue (maybe even a campfire if you're brave enough to try it!).
Ingredients:
Bananas in their skin (1 per person)
Chocolate chips
Mini Marshmallows
Chopped hazelnuts (optional)
Method:
Preheat the oven to 180°C
Keeping the banana in its skin, make a slit long-ways along the banana, about 2 thirds of the way down
Fill the slit abundantly with marshmallows and chocolate chips
Tightly wrap the filled banana in tin foil
Put it in the oven for around 15 minutes or until gooey and unctuous
(This step is if you want to class it up a bit) While the banana is baking, toast a few roughly chopped almonds in a small pan, until golden and crisp. Sprinkle over the baked bananas.
Grab a spoon and dig in! No need for fancy presentation
Top Tip:
Turn it into a Banana Split by serving it with your favourite flavours of ice cream. Let the ice cream melt and ooze over the banana- you can't beat it!
